About us
We are a family who loves German Shepherds and were given the opporunity to spend more time with them over the summer of 2023, when we came up with the idea for FourPaws Pampering.
We do love our German Shepherd’s at FourPaws Pampering and although they are our speciality, we do accept any breed, any size, any age!
Our lovely Skye suffered with hip dysplasia and arthritis since she was very young and had hydrotherapy, massages and laser treatment which really helped with her symptoms. She broke our hearts when her heart failed and we lost her in September 2023. She was our inspiration for FourPaws Pampering as we want to provide day care for dogs, like Skye, who are physically struggling and would hugely benefit from a day of rest, relaxation and pampering. We didn’t want to leave her side when she was poorly, but if there was something unavoidable that we had to attend, we know that her needs would have been met at FourPaws Pampering. That’s why we knew we had to open as planned, for Skye and all the other dogs out there that have extra care needs, are physically struggling or recovering from surgery.
Our man, Snow, was a lockdown puppy and suffers with anxieties, as a result. He is such a loving and caring guy and when you have his heart, he is yours forever, giving you the most amazing snuggles! He loves to play with other dogs, but is pretty much scared of everything else. His vulnerabilities also inspired us to develop our calming day care further. We use homemade calming products and natural calming treats in our purpose built calming doggy den, all working to build on confidence and ease any tension.
The newest addition to the FourPaws Pampering family is Star. She is Snow’s half sister and was born September 2023. Sadly, Skye didn’t get to meet Star, but we know she would have been so gentle with her and loved her so much. Star is a little character and the boss of the house! Star has hugely benefited from our day care as we have been using our mental enrichment games, including our handmade snuffle mats, that have helped calm her down and aid in a restful night. We will work with owners and match dogs for day care so as to not cause any unnecessary stress by placing a Skye with a Star. This makes sure that each dog gets our full attention.
Jasmine is the newest member of the FourPaws Pampering team. She is fully qualified and DBS checked, but most importantly she is super passionate about working with dogs and will show them all the love, care and snuggles they deserve.
