Frequently Asked Questions
What is your availability?
We’re open Monday to Friday for most services, but our availability is dependent on dog matching. Please contact us for our full availability.
Do you do overnight care?
Unfortunately, we are not currently in a position to be able to offer overnight care whether in our home or yours. The list of licensed home boarders in Central Bedfordshire can be found at: Licensed Animal Boarders.
What breed sizes will you accept?
We will accept any breed size, but will be very careful to match sizes, ages and temperaments. Therefore, we may not have availability as requested.
How many dogs will you take for Day Care?
Our licence allows us to have 6 dogs at any one time, this includes our Snow and Star. It enables us to personalise the care required for each dog.
Do you offer transport for Day Care?
We would prefer that your dog is dropped at our location to avoid causing any unnecessary stress. However, we can provide a transport service within a 2 mile radius of our location (including Dunstable, Houghton Regis and parts of Luton) for an additional £3, includes pick-up and drop-off. Our vehicle is equipped to comfortably and safely transport a specific number and size of dog. Therefore, this service is subject to availability. If mobility is an issue for your dog, we do have a ramp that can be used.
What happens during extreme weather conditions?
We are an all seasons service and have the provisions in place to ensure your dog is kept safe and entertained. If it is deemed unsafe to walk dogs, we will spend more time in our temperature controlled doggy den with added mental enrichment opportunities. If booked for our Dog Sitting services, we will not complete the solo household walk. Instead we will bring mental enrichment games to play. If booked for our Dog Walking services, we can look to support a change to the scheduled service. This could involve the collection of your dogs in our air-conditioned vehicle and have indoor play in our temperature controlled doggy den, for the time booked. Or we might be able to accommodate an early morning/late evening walk, depending on availability and the changing conditions.
How do I book a free consultation?
You can either complete the relevant Registration Form from and we will contact you to book in the consultation. Or you can contact us directly to book the consultation and we will send you the Registration Form for completion before we meet.
What happens at the consultation?
If booking for our Dog Day Care services, we will ask you to visit us at our premises. This is so you can see the space and your dog can get a feel for us and the space before joining the FourPaws Pampering family. If booking for our Dog Sitting or Dog Walking Services we will arrange to visit you in your home, so you can show us around and we can see your dog in it’s home setting. A consultation will last about an hour where we will ask any follow-up questions and assess your dog. It is also an opportunity for you to ask us any questions.
